The 9-hole course
Explore the 9 holes at Rural Golf du Chammet course, their par, distances from the tees, stroke index for each hole and our playing tips.

The course drains very quickly so never faces problems with rain and/or mud. As a result, during dry periods, the fairways and greens become very firm and it is therefore not advisable to attack the greens.

Local rules:
-
Out of bounds: marked by white stakes and fences on the course.
-
Young plantations and sprinkler heads are considered immovable obstructions. Drop without penalty.
-
Balls on the fairway may be lifted and placed no closer to the hole, within 20 cm of the original position (about the length of an open scorecard) without penalty.
-
Any ball hitting electric wires or poles must be replayed without penalty from the original lie.
HOLE No. 1
Par 4
Stroke Index 7

White:
335 m
Yellow:
310 m
Blue:
245 m
Red:
225 m
Our tip: On this dogleg right, in winter use your driver aiming for the middle of the fairway. In summer a fairway wood will be enough. A second iron shot is enough to reach the green. Big hitters can go directly over the trees on the right (high risk).

HOLE No. 2
Par 5
Stroke Index 5

White:
475 m
Yellow:
450 m
Blue:
430 m
Red:
370 m
Our tip: Play the driver aiming for the marker post straight ahead on the plateau. With the second shot, clear the obstacles on the left (trees) and on the right (out of bounds). For the third shot downhill, use one club less (in summer, two clubs less).

HOLE No. 3
Par 3
Stroke Index 4

White:
220 m
Yellow:
200 m
Blue:
170 m
Red:
120 m
Our tip: Aim to the left of the three bunkers, a shot to the right may end up out of bounds, especially if the prevailing west wind is blowing.

HOLE No. 4
Par 4
Stroke Index 6

White:
295 m
Yellow:
295 m
Blue:
270 m
Red:

Our tip: Aim for the left side of the fairway. In summer, use one club less for the second shot. All the trouble is down the right-hand side.

HOLE No. 5
Par 4
Stroke Index 3

White:
350 m
Yellow:
315 m
Blue:
290 m
Red:

Our tip: The danger is on the right. If you are not a long hitter, don’t take any risks and play for the green in three shots.

Stroke Index 2

White:

HOLE No. 8
Par 4
Stroke Index 1

White:
400 m
Yellow:
370 m
Blue:
340 m
Red:
305 m
Our tip: Aim for the marker. Approach the green from the left. All but big hitters will need 3 good shots to reach a small green.

HOLE No. 9
Par 4
Stroke Index 8

White:
235 m
Yellow:
235 m
Blue:
205 m
Red:
205 m
Our tip: Big dogleg right. Average players, use your driver. If you hit long, take a 3-wood or go over the trees on the right (risky). Try to stay below the pin on the sloping green on this hole.
